Luna Nascente Refuge
The Luna Nascente Refuge is in the heart of Val di Mello Nature Reserve at an altitude of 1092 m asl and is immersed in the green of the meadows that surround the nucleus of historic Cascina Piana huts. The clear granite walls and in particular the famous “Luna Nascente” climbing route inspired the evocative name of the refuge; it represents the ideal place for families with children, young people, the elderly and for all nature and mountain lovers.
The refuge has a bar, a large dining room, rooms with private en-suite bathrooms, an extensive and well-kept garden with pergola, wi-fi in the common areas, a play area equipped for the little ones and a solarium where you can relax and admire the beauties of the enchanted nature of the Mello valley. For less demanding customers it is also possible to stay in characteristic stone huts in Mello valley.
The structure is suitable for celebrating weddings, birthdays and other celebrations in a simple but welcoming setting in a unique natural setting like that of Mello valley.
A room with projector and wi-fi connection is available, ideal for hosting workshops, seminars, team building activities and company conventions in a quiet and private environment. Near the hut there is an adventure park that is accessible with mountain guides.
The structure can be reached on foot from San Martino with a quiet walk of about 1 hour; alternatively, with the shuttle bus or with your own car buying a ticket, you can reach the parking lot at the entrance to Val di Mello; from here you reach the Luna Nascente Refuge in about 20 minutes walking along a beautiful and comfortable paved mule track that runs along the crystalline waters and the emerald colored ponds of the Mello torrent.
